"Can(va)s for Kids" 11th of August, 2008 Around sixty students of Years 1 and 2 at The Heritage Private School, have raised 520 Euros for the charity Cans for Kids, in collaboration with Bazaraki.com. The money will be donated to the Makarios Hospital in Nicosia, which is the central paediatric hospital treating seriously ill children from all over the island. The students raised the money following the example of a six-year-old classmate who sold her paintings through Bazaraki.com to raise money and awareness for recycling and sick children. For the art/computer/science/environmental studies project "Can(va)s for Kids" the students all received a presentation from Cans For Kids about the importance of recycling for the environment. Then, each child made a painting on a canvas of 30x30cm and auctioned it off hrough www.bazaraki.com. On average, each painting raised 8,50 Euros and the highest bid was 170 Euros! Because of the huge succes, Bazaraki.com would love to sponsor other schools interested in similar projects. For more information kindly contact marketing@bazaraki.com or Tel. 99 02 88 16.

Important message from Bazaraki.com 7th of April, 2008 Buying and selling through the Internet is safe, cheap and a lot of fun. It is however important to use your common sense. Be careful if you are offered more than your asking price, if the potential buyer is located abroad, or if someone pays with a cheque (it takes a few days for the bank to clear the cheque). We advice you to never use Western Union, HSBC bank, BidPay or MoneyGram if you are doing business with an unknown party. We also advice you to not ship your goods abroad.

Buy smart 29 November, 2007
Scam- and con artists do not get rich because they're stupid (the stupid ones are in jail because they got caught ;-). So we would like to advise everyone to use their common sense when buying something online which is not physically located in Cyprus for you to see. For this same reason we recommend you not transfer or wire money abroad (eg Western Union), even if the amount is small, unless you are 100% sure of the sellers identity and authenticity. Better safe than sorry.
Move of the Bazaraki.com webserver 13 November, 2007
Our server has been re-located last night to an even faster connection. Unfortunately during the process they forgot to attach two important wires... as a result at times during today we were difficult to reach. We hope no one has experienced too much inconvenience during today, although of course we hope you all missed us very much. Luckily every down side has its up side, Bazaraki.com will now be an even faster and more enjoyable experience!

"Can(va)s for Kids" 1 November, 2007 At the end of September 2007, the Cyprus Weekly and Cyprus Mail featured a story about a six-year-old girl who is selling her paintings through Bazaraki.com to raise money and awareness for re-cycling and sick children (copies of the articles to follow soon). Her proceeds are going to www.cansforkids.org. One of the paintings "The Colourful Castle" is still up for bidding under "Art & Antiques". Following her example, The Heritage School (Limassol) has decided to follow in her footsteps. First of all, the school will be continuing their collection of cans for re-cycling. Furthermore, Years 1 and 2 will be receiving a presentation from the charity Cans For Kids about the importance of re-cycling for the environment. And finally, each child will make a painting on a canvas of 30x30cm and auction it off on this website. www.bazaraki.com is sponsoring the 100+ canvassas and paints. The proceeds of the paintings will go to Cans for Kids who will donate the money to the Makarios Hospital in Nicosia, which is the central paediatric hospital treating seriously ill children from all over the island. The paitings are expected to be online at the end of November, beginning of December 2007. Please help and make an offer when the time comes! Also, Bazaraki.com will be happy to sponsor any schools interested in setting up a similar project. Kindly contact saskia@bazaraki.com.
