Wayfarer dinghy - sailing boat
Reduced to sell... make a sensible offer I cannot refuse!
Wayfarer dinghy, sails hardly used (6-10 times genoa, 3-4 times main -- photo shows the old main) both sails made by Crusader Sails in the UK. The boat is well sailed and well cared for but hardly used last 3-4 years so needs a clean up. She is on the hard at Larnaca Marina. I'm selling because I now have a small yacht.
Just added some more photos I took today showing her current condition. She needs a good washdown, it's Cyprus dust! The main sail still feels 'crinkly new' by that I mean it still makes the crinkly noise a new sail makes!
There are some old adult buoyancy aids (for safety) in the boat, which can go with the boat.
LOA 4.827 m (15.84 ft)
Beam 1.855 m (6 ft 1.0 in)
Mainsail area 8.83 m2 (95.0 sq ft)
Genoa area 2.78 m2 (29.9 sq ft)
From Wikipedia: The boat is 15 feet 10 inches (4.83 m) long, and broad and deep enough for three adults to comfortably sail for several hours. Longer trips are undertaken by enthusiasts, notably the late Frank Dye who sailed W48 'Wanderer' from Scotland to Iceland and Norway, crossing the North Sea twice. The Wayfarer's size, stability and seaworthiness have made it popular with sailing schools, and led it to be used as a family boat in a wide variety of locations.
