Our client is an international investment firm with a dynamic team that is currently expanding. They are looking for a Head of IT Operations for their team.
Lead and manage the Software Development and IT teams to deliver applications, infrastructure and architecture that meets the needs of the business and end users.
Ensure effective internal communications both within the software development team and across the organisation.
Demonstrate an expertise in key technical areas based on previous experience
Redefine the best practices and approach to Technology Operations.
Work effectively with Head of Departments and Project Managers to ensure delivery against agreed priorities.
Keep up with the latest developments in Infrastructure, Internet Technology and IT Security
Create, implement and maintain a continuous improvement plan for software development and IT infrastructure;
Perform hands-on troubleshooting when required
Establish clear organisational structures and succession plans aligned with appropriate responsibilities, accountabilities and personal development for all Software Development and IT staff in line with any anticipated growth.
A degree in programming, computer science, computer engineering, or related field
Several years’ experience managing employees within an IT environment
Need not be an expert in multiple programming languages or certified in every network, but must possess a broad understanding of tech theories and applications from a macro-level. Must need to understand new trends and shifts in technology.
Experience or Qualifications in IT Security and/or IT Risk Management
Previous Responsibility for Production Support, Incident Management and Incident resolution
Strong communication style, problem solving and attention to detail
