Balance bike is the best preparation for riding a regular bike without supporting wheels. Both my kids started at age 2 with the balance bike, the older one easily moved on to a regular bicycle at the age of 5, without tricycles or supporting wheels. See the video to understand why balance bikes are better.

This is a high quality balance bike purchased at €125 in Jan 2020. Selling due to moving abroad.
