We skipped what most find mandatory, the 17-year-olds took the Ielts and scored 8/9 (one of 2 in Cyprus in 2019) and 7.5/9, having covered the B1+ and B2 levels (μόνο) hadn't taken the Cambridge exams, hadn't attended intensive Ielts courses .. σαν να λέμε δηλαδή: ΠΟΥ ΠΑΣ ξυπόλητος στ’αγκάθια; My decision was described as disastrous (από τους πάντες) but I’d faith in myself and my students and hallelujah! Not only they passed the Ielts but they were accepted by Edinburgh, Sussex, Reading, Exeter, Sheffield, Derby, Glasgow, Essex, Leicester, Kent and Nottingham. 😉
PS: Οι προαναφερθέντες είναι τα 3 παιδιά μου, ήταν μαθητές Δημόσιας εκπαίδευσης (που αρκετοί περιφρονούν) και η προετοιμασία για τις 'περιβόητες' Ielts κράτησε 10 ημέρες; την ανέλαβαν εξ’ ολοκλήρου. Έχουν ήδη ολοκληρώσει τον Πτυχιακό κύκλο σπουδών τους στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο BSC (1st Class Hons). Τα συμπεράσματα ... δικά σας!
