Panasonic Lumix LX2 – Beautiful Metallic Silver Finish – Leica Lens – 2006 CCD Digital Camera – Fully Tested – Boxed with Accessories
A beautiful and very well-made Panasonic Lumix LX2, manufactured in 2006 and featuring the highly regarded CCD image sensor that makes cameras from this era so interesting to digital-camera enthusiasts. The LX2 combines a classic premium design with a superb Leica lens and enthusiast-friendly controls.
The camera has a classic matte metallic silver body complemented by polished chrome accents around the top controls, buttons, dials and lens rings. It has a wonderfully solid, elegant feel and a timeless design that still looks fantastic today.
The camera is in beautiful overall condition, with only minimal signs of previous use on the body. The Leica optics are clean, and the lens is in excellent condition.
There are some light imperfections on the LCD screen. I have tried to show them as clearly as possible in one of the photos. Importantly, these imperfections do not affect the viewing experience. They are mainly noticeable when the camera is switched off and viewed from a particular angle. When the camera is switched on, the screen looks clear and the viewing experience is essentially like new.
One of the highlights of the LX2 is its Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens, offering a useful 28–112mm equivalent zoom range. The Leica optics are one of the main reasons the LX2 remains such an interesting camera today, providing excellent optical quality in a compact body.
The CCD sensor is another major attraction for collectors and photographers who enjoy the distinctive character of early digital cameras. The LX2 belongs to an era when compact cameras were built with a very different philosophy from today's smartphones and modern digital cameras.
The LX2 is also particularly enjoyable to operate thanks to its physical switches, buttons and dials. It offers optical image stabilization, manual exposure controls and a range of settings that give the photographer much more control than a typical point-and-shoot camera. The physical aspect-ratio selector is another particularly interesting feature, allowing the camera to make use of its famous 16:9 shooting format.
The camera is fully tested and everything works perfectly. The lens, zoom, autofocus, flash, LCD, buttons, dials, stabilization, shooting modes and other functions have all been checked and are working as they should.
The camera uses a standard SD memory card for storage. SD card is not included.
It comes boxed with a complete set of accessories, including:
Original Panasonic battery ( Tested and is healthy)
Battery wall charger
Wall power cable
USB-C cable for transferring photos to a computer
USB-to-RCA/AV cable
Original manual/documentation
CD
Original box
The Panasonic LX2 is a beautiful example of a classic CCD-era digital camera. Its elegant metallic construction, polished details, physical controls, optical stabilization and excellent Leica lens make it much more than an ordinary compact camera.
For anyone who appreciates the character of 2000s digital photography, the LX2 is a particularly attractive camera — stylish, well-built, enjoyable to use and equipped with the CCD sensor and Leica optics that make this generation of Panasonic cameras so desirable.
