The LCD screen has a small area where part of the original anti-reflective coating has worn away. This is mainly visible when looking at the screen from certain angles or when light reflects directly onto it. It does not affect the operation of the touchscreen, the recorded video quality or the camera's functionality. During normal use it is much less noticeable. Please Read – LCD Screen Hinge / Door There is one issue that I would like to describe clearly and honestly. The LCD screen door opens and closes more loosely than it originally should. The hinge mechanism that normally provides resistance and keeps the screen firmly positioned has become loose. Because the LCD screen on this model is relatively large and heavy, when the camcorder is turned or held at certain angles, the screen may open or move more easily by itself instead of staying firmly in position. Despite this, the camcorder remains fully usable and capable of recording excellent video. A simple way I found to use it comfortably is to rotate the screen to an angle where the edge of the LCD lightly rests against the camcorder body. I demonstrate this in my video, and when positioned this way I was able to use and record with the camera without it bothering me very much. So please purchase knowing that the screen hinge is loose, but the LCD, touchscreen, camera controls and recording functions are working normally. This issue has been taken into consideration when setting the final selling price.
