PROJECT MANAGER – CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
GPA Upgraded Homes Ltd is seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Manager to join our construction team and oversee residential development projects in Cyprus.
Key Requirements
Candidates must have:
Bachelor’s Degree in a construction-related field, such as Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Engineering or another relevant discipline.
Project Management Certification from a recognised educational or professional institution.
Previous experience in the construction industry and on-site project management.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, drawings, specifications, materials and quality standards.
Ability to plan and coordinate multiple construction activities simultaneously.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage foremen, crew leaders, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines.
Good knowledge of Greek and English.
Good computer skills and ability to work with project planning, reporting and documentation systems.
Valid driving licence.
Main Responsibilities
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution and control of assigned construction projects, ensuring that each project is delivered according to programme, budget and GPA quality standards.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and monitoring the master construction programme and weekly work schedules.
Setting clear daily and weekly production targets for each crew.
Coordinating foremen, crew leaders, workers, subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensuring that labour and materials are available at the correct time to avoid delays.
Monitoring daily progress against the construction programme.
Conducting regular site inspections.
Reading and coordinating architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical drawings.
Identifying discrepancies or technical issues before they affect construction.
Monitoring the quality of workmanship at every construction stage.
Ensuring works comply with approved drawings, specifications and company standards.
Coordinating concrete works, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, thermal insulation, tiling, aluminium works, MEP installations, finishes and handover activities.
Maintaining proper daily and weekly project reports, including progress, workforce, delays and outstanding issues.
Monitoring project costs and avoiding unnecessary waste of labour and materials.
Coordinating with architects, engineers, consultants, suppliers and management.
Identifying potential delays or risks early and implementing corrective action.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements on all sites.
Managing snagging, quality control and final handover of completed projects.

The successful candidate must be able to take ownership of a project, anticipate problems before they become delays, organise people effectively and maintain high construction standards.
The role requires a Project Manager who does not simply report problems, but identifies solutions, assigns responsibility and follows through until completion.
