8 The GE E1055W is an unusual and increasingly interesting compact digital camera from the late 2000s. GE is far better known for home appliances and industrial products than photography, making its short-lived range of digital cameras a distinctive piece of digital-camera history. This example is in excellent condition, as shown in the photos. The attractive red body is beautifully preserved and has a solid metal-bodied / metal-finished construction, giving the camera a more substantial and premium feel than many lightweight compact cameras of the same era. The E1055W features a 10.1-megapixel sensor together with a 28mm wide-angle aspheric all-glass lens and 5x optical zoom.
