I left Cyprus. That’s the whole reason. If I were still here I wouldn’t be listing it. This is a Cyprus car: roof down, sea on one side, the hills on the other.
Most cheap R171s are cheap because the Vario roof is dead and you just bought a noisy coupe. This one opens and closes every time. I had it checked in September 2025 by carcheckcy (check 1956). Hydraulics and mechanism both confirmed. Same report: no accident records, no rust, no flood damage, no outstanding recalls. VIN checked. Mileage checked. 250,000 km, and I haven’t tried to hide that. Their line was, “The vehicle is in generally good condition considering its age.”
What I already spent, so you don’t walk into a garage next week: four new tyres (that’s €400-600 on its own), a proper service in September 2026 (oil, filters, fluids), MOT valid until February 2028, the handbrake repaired, a brand-new tail light, and a wired Apple CarPlay / Android Auto screen instead of the factory head unit. Air con still cools to 5°C. Heated seats work. Cruise control works. Transmission was marked good. Frame and structure marked good.
It isn’t mint. There’s a small crack on the lower front bumper lip. You only see it up close. A couple of panels have light scratches. Some clearcoat fade, which is what a silver 2008 gets after years in this sun. One key comes with it. A Mercedes dealer can cut a second for about €100-150.
When it was new it was about €40,000. You get the car, the manual, the service logs, and the full inspection report.
