Built with 810 pure copper strands, triple insulation on air and Esprit's own EH100 plugs. This is an ex demonstration pair from our listening room, and the series is no longer made. Esprit Eterna is the interconnect that sits a step above Celesta in the French maker's range. This is a 0.6m pair with RCA plugs, used in the Dreamcrest listening room as a demonstration cable. It also comes from a discontinued series: Esprit replaced the whole catalogue with its G10 generation in 2026, so Eterna in this form is no longer built. Both facts sit behind the price. What it does An interconnect carries a low level signal between source and amplifier, so unlike a loudspeaker cable it works at tiny currents. Rejecting interference and controlling the dielectric matter more here than raw conductor size. Eterna uses 810 strands of pure copper in a symmetrical electrical structure with asymmetrical twisting, triple insulation built on air and a partial screen, also on air. Esprit fit their own EH100 plugs with multilayer copper and silver plating at 10 microns, and the range carries the polarisation system that applies a DC bias to the dielectric. How it sounds and where it fits Cable differences are real but modest, and they depend on the system around them. The useful question is placement. A 0.6m pair is short, so it suits source and amplifier stacked in one rack rather than separated across a room. Kept short, an unbalanced run picks up less interference, which is the sensible way to use single ended connections. At this level the cable belongs with a resolving digital source or phono stage into a good preamplifier, in a system where the loudspeakers and amplification are already chosen.
