Very good condition, low hours, supplied in its original packaging.What it doesLike every REL, the T/7x is designed to be connected at high level, through a Neutrik Speakon cable run from your power amplifier's speaker terminals. It therefore receives the same signal as the main speakers, complete with your amplifier's own character, which is what allows it to blend instead of sitting underneath the music as a separate event. A low level RCA input and a separate LFE RCA input are also fitted, so one subwoofer can serve a stereo amplifier and a surround processor at the same time.How it sounds and where it fitsThe smaller active driver gives a quicker, tighter character than a large subwoofer, at the cost of the last few hertz. That trade suits smaller and medium rooms, roughly up to 25 square metres, and systems built around standmount or compact floorstanding speakers. In a cinema it works well as a second subwoofer alongside a larger unit such as the T/9x, since two smaller subwoofers in different positions usually give a more even result through the seats than one big one.
