It shares the new soft dome wide surround rear chambered 27mm tweeter and the 2kHz crossover with the A4.2, but adds a larger cabinet and a redesigned port that takes usable bass down to 33Hz.What separates it from the A4.2 is scale rather than character. The extra internal volume gives orchestral music and large scale recordings the room they need, while the presentation keeps the A-Line's directness and sense of drive. The refined crossover improves phase coherence, so the stereo image stays stable as the music gets busy.At 85dB and 6.75 ohms nominal it is straightforward to drive, and it will take up to 200 watts.
