F2 The Enna München Tele-Ennalyt 240mm f/4.5 is a distinctive vintage German telephoto lens, especially recognizable for its classic “Zebra” design, with alternating silver and black rings typical of German lenses from this period. The M42 mount is one of the most versatile vintage lens mounts and can easily be adapted to many modern mirrorless systems such as Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z and Fujifilm X with the appropriate adapter. This does not currently affect the operation of the aperture, and the blades have been tested repeatedly and are opening and closing correctly. Vintage manual-focus lenses can vary considerably in resistance because of their age. Some older lenses lose part of their original resistance and become slightly looser, while others can become somewhat firmer as the original focusing grease dries over the years. A slightly firmer or looser focusing movement can therefore be completely normal for a vintage lens and does not necessarily indicate a fault. This particular lens remains within a normal and usable focusing range, and the focusing mechanism operates correctly. The lens is completely manual, with manual focusing and manual aperture control.
