Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 MIVEC, 2000, semi-automatic - Immobilised due to missing Takata Airbag
Engine and gearbox are in good working condition. Sold as seen, with the following issues:
The airbags deployed in an accident in 2006 and were never replaced.
The car is under the Takata airbag recall and has been immobilised by the Road Transport Department.
It has no MOT and no road tax, and cannot legally be driven.
Need new or used airbag and to be taken to Mitsubishi to make road legal again.
The car passed every MOT from 2006 until the immobilisation.
Suitable for parts, or for someone willing to sort out the airbag. Transfer of ownership is subject to Road Transport Department requirements for recalled vehicles.
