This Minolta MD Zoom 35–105mm is a versatile vintage manual-focus zoom lens in good overall condition, showing some normal signs of age and use.
The main cosmetic imperfection is around the front filter ring, which is slightly bent in one area. This does not affect the normal use or optical performance of the lens.
The glass is in very good condition, with no haze or fungus. The aperture blades are clean, dry and free from oil, and they operate quickly and smoothly.
Mechanically, the lens performs very well. The zoom ring is smooth, the manual focus operates correctly, and the aperture ring works as it should.
It uses the Minolta MD/MC mount and is compatible with many classic Minolta manual-focus SLR cameras, including models such as the X-700, XD-7 / XD-11 and SRT series.
It can also be adapted easily to many modern mirrorless cameras, including Sony E, Fujifilm X, Canon RF and Nikon Z, using the appropriate inexpensive Minolta MD adapter.
A nice vintage zoom lens with good optics, smooth operation and useful macro capability, suitable for both film photography and adapted digital use.
