That was our life here for years. We lived in this penthouse as a family, and now we're looking for someone to love it as much as we did.
The terrace (this is the reason to rent this place)
It's 87 m², the same size as the apartment itself. We call it our second home. Our daughter learned to roller-skate up there. During the Covid lockdowns, while everyone else felt trapped indoors, we had breakfast in the sun and long dinners under the pergola, and we never once felt locked in.
And then night falls. Throw a rug down on the warm tiles, lie on your back and look up. There are more stars than you'd expect, and every few minutes a satellite slides quietly across the sky. Nobody lives above you and nobody overlooks you. On this terrace, the evening sky belongs to you alone.
From the side of the terrace you can see the sea, which is only 900 metres away. There's an outdoor sink with storage and a water tap, so barbecues and washing up after a party are easy. A dining table for six is already there. Watering plants or hosing down the terrace takes minutes.
Inside: a home that was made for living, not for renting
We did every part of the renovation for ourselves, so nothing here was done cheaply:
New windows everywhere. We replaced all the old windows, which let in dust, cold and heat, with modern ones that seal tightly. That means a quiet flat, lower electricity bills and less dust. Every window has a mosquito screen, so you can sleep with the windows open on summer nights.
3 real bedrooms. We glazed part of the veranda and made it into a bright extra room with air conditioning. It works as a third bedroom, a home office, a kids' room or a guest room.
A kitchen we chose ourselves: ceramic hob, built-in oven, Siemens dishwasher and a fridge-freezer.
