ICan School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching & Learning Assistant (Upper Primary) to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young learners in a dynamic, bilingual environment.
Location: Limassol, New Port
Contract: Full-time; Monday to Friday 07:45 - 16:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of class teachers to support lessons and teacher-planned individual or small-group activities.
- Use questioning, prompts and appropriate scaffolding to reinforce learning and develop pupil independence.
- Support EAL and SEND learners in line with teacher and SENCO guidance, promoting inclusion and participation.
- Observe pupil engagement and progress, sharing relevant feedback with the class teacher.
- Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and safeguarding; supervise pupils actively during lessons and transitions.
- Prepare and organise resources and learning spaces efficiently, supporting classroom routines.
- Assist with school activities, supervision duties, events and extracurricular provision as assigned.
- Communicate professionally, maintain confidentiality and uphold the school’s values and policies.
Requirements:
- Valid work permit for Cyprus
Fluent in Russian and English (spoken and written)
- Previous experience working in a similar role, ideally within a primary school setting
- A basic understanding of the English National Curriculum is desirable
- Positive, proactive attitude with a passion for supporting young learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organised and flexible
