- The specific piece of art is one-of-a-kind.

- Polish artist Zbigniew Rząsa, created only limited amount of intarsia woodworking arts.

- This piece of art, it is a scene from the bible, “The escape from Egypt”. Our Lady's dress is made by oak wood dyed deeply (that is in its entire thickness) with aniline dye.

Intarsia woodworking is the art of creating a mosaic-like picture from pieces of wood.

Different species of wood are selected for their color and cut to size using a scroll saw. The woodworker can create an illusion of depth by carefully selecting the grain pattern and direction of each individual piece.

Intarsia uses varied shapes, sizes, and species of wood fitted together to create a mosaic-like picture with an illusion of depth. Intarsia is created through the selection of different types of wood, using their grain pattern and coloring to create variations in the pattern.
