Pair of antique hand-painted Vienna style porcelain tea caddies dating to the late 19th century, both richly decorated in the classical neoclassical tradition of Continental European porcelain. These are high-quality cabinet pieces produced for decorative display rather than daily use, featuring exceptional detail in both their miniature paintings and elaborate gilt work. They come from the estate of a private porcelain collector who passed away, and their artistic quality and condition reflect careful preservation over the years. The first tea caddy features a beautifully executed hand-painted classical scene depicting two Roman figures and a maiden in an outdoor setting, framed within an ornate raised gilt border. The remaining sides are richly decorated with burgundy and lilac enamel panels filled with neoclassical floral gilt motifs. The original matching domed lid is present and fits well. The overall condition is excellent with only small age-related imperfections and minor rubbing to the gilding in areas, consistent with age. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible. The base bears a faint blue shield-style mark often associated with Vienna-style porcelain workshops. The second tea caddy is decorated on both sides with finely detailed romantic mythological scenes featuring Cupid and a maiden, signed by the artist J. Lang .
