Experienced private caregivers with medical background

Dear People in Need of Support and Their Families, We would like to introduce ourselves as private care professionals.. We are sisters, fluent in both German and English, and both qualified alternative practitioners with medical and psychological backgrounds (one of us specialized as naturopathic practitioner, the other in psychotherapy). In addition, we have many years of hands-on experience in intensive home care. For more than 10 years, we personally cared for and supported our severely dependent parents at home — both classified with the highest level of care (Level 5) in Germany. For us, it was only natural to accompany our parents personally instead of placing them anonymously into a nursing home. This time shaped us deeply, both professionally and personally. Our mother suffered a severe stroke that left her partially paralyzed. She was fed through a PEG tube and at times depended on a tracheostomy for breathing support. She required complete daily assistance, including repositioning, catheter care, diaper care, and support with recurring bladder infections, psychosis, and hallucinations. Our father suffered from Parkinson’s disease with increasing disorientation and psychotic symptoms. During the final stage of his life, we administered IV infusions to maintain his nutritional intake because he refused to eat or drink and required intensive full-time care. Because of these experiences, we bring not only theoretical knowledge, but also real practical expertise and a deep understanding of the emotional and physical challenges involved in caregiving.
