The Olympus XA2 is extremely simple and enjoyable to use. With the famous sliding clamshell cover you simply slide the door open to turn on the camera and protect the lens when finished. The camera uses a very smart and easy focusing system located on the front of the camera with 3 focus settings:

Another unique characteristic of the XA2 is the manual thumb wheel film advance located on the back of the camera. After taking each photo you manually advance the film using the wheel which gives the camera a very satisfying classic mechanical feel while still offering automatic exposure for easy shooting.

The detachable flash accessory operates with 1 common AA battery while the main camera uses 2 easy-to-find LR44 batteries.
