The scale is working. Weight is measured through a traditional mechanical balance-beam system, so it does not require electricity or batteries. The rotating poise bars allow readings in kilograms or pounds, while the built-in height rod provides height measurement in centimetres or inches.
It has been cleaned and is complete with the weighing platform, balance-beam mechanism, vertical height rod and headpiece. Because of its age and long-term use, it has visible cosmetic wear, scuffs, paint marks, discoloration and wear on the platform. The photographs show the actual condition honestly; the scale has not been cosmetically restored.
The scale is functional but has not been recently professionally calibrated. A serious buyer is welcome to inspect and test it before purchase.
