A stunning mid-century vintage evening bag, dating to approximately the 1950s–1960s, crafted in the distinctive style of Whiting & Davis. Although unbranded, the interior retains a clearly visible rectangular shadow where an original vintage paper label or maker's sticker was once affixed, adding an intriguing touch to its history.
The bag is fashioned from luxurious gold-tone metal armor mesh, with a beautifully fluid, liquid-like quality that catches and reflects the light with every movement. The mesh is complemented by a matching metal snake-chain shoulder strap, allowing the bag to be carried elegantly by hand or over the shoulder.
Its structured top is framed by a polished metal kiss-lock closure, while the lower edge features a striking geometric sawtooth/chevron zigzag hemline, giving the bag a distinctly sophisticated mid-century silhouette.
