This is an authentic vintage item with beautiful character and signs of age. The metal mesh is bright, clean, and flexible, while the textured metal frame has an authentic vintage patina and light surface wear consistent with its age.
Please note: The metal mesh has partially detached from the inner frame line at both the left and right edges near the hinges. Some of the small connecting metal wire loops have unthreaded or stretched out on both sides, creating small gaps where the mesh meets the frame. These loose/disconnected wire strands are visible in the close-up photos.
The main body of the mesh remains secure, and the kiss-lock clasp still snaps shut securely, so the purse remains functional. The issue appears relatively minor and may be an easy repair for someone familiar with vintage metal mesh or similar metalwork, although we recommend handling the purse gently until it is repaired.
