Beautiful Savonarola-style Renaissance Revival hand-carved wooden armchair with wonderful detailing and a very striking shape.
The chair has lovely carved scrollwork throughout, including decorative figures, leaf detailing and curved arms, together with a solid wooden slatted seat and distinctive X-frame design.
It’s a really unusual statement chair with lots of character and a lovely warm aged patina. It would look beautiful in an entrance hall, living room, study or simply as a decorative feature piece.
It has been part of our private collection and is now being sold as we are relocating.
Condition: Good vintage condition with some age-related marks and wear, as you would expect from an older piece. Please see all photographs for details.
