9 JVC Everio GZ-MG505 – 3-CCD Digital Camcorder The JVC Everio GZ-MG505 is a special vintage camcorder released in 2006. It was one of JVC's more advanced models and received the prestigious TIPA Award for Best Camcorder of 2006. One of its most impressive features is the 3-CCD image sensor system. While most consumer camcorders of the time used a single sensor, the GZ-MG505 uses three separate CCD sensors, one for Red, one for Green and one for Blue. This helps produce better color reproduction, good detail and beautiful natural colors. Despite being a vintage camcorder with standard-definition video, the 3-CCD system gives the GZ-MG505 surprisingly impressive image quality for its age and makes it a particularly interesting model compared with many other consumer camcorders from the same period. 30GB Built-In Hard Disk Another great feature is the built-in 30GB Hard Disk Drive (HDD). Instead of using tapes or DVDs, the camcorder records your videos directly onto the internal hard drive. It also supports SD memory cards for recording and storage. SD card is not included. The camcorder can also take 5-megapixel still photographs, making it a versatile camera for its time. Beautiful Condition – Fully Tested This particular camcorder is in truly beautiful condition considering its age. It has been fully tested and everything works perfectly. It comes with a completely new battery. Although the battery indicator on the camera shows approximately 40 minutes, I personally tested the battery and it actually lasts approximately 1 hour in real use.
