••History of the car••
The Austin Healey 3000 is a 1959 BMC
Roadster manufactured at MG. It is the further development of the 100-Six
whose characteristics were preserved with a few exceptions. It
only slide brakes were installed on the front wheels and the engine
received a larger displacement. The soft top and the side windows
remained in place. From 1961 on, a new version came with increased
Motopower which the additional designation Mk.
I received. Externalfeature was
the radiator grille of the now vertical struts and the model name
"3000" moved from the radiator grille to the trunk lid. There was still the
2-seater version (BN7) and the 2 + 2 seater (BJ7).
The six-cylinder in-line engine
with a displacement of 3.0 liters now produced
132 hp. This allowed the 4 m
long and 1.5 m wide and 1.1 ton heavy wagons a maximum speed
of 185 km/h. The model was developed in 1964 by the Mk. Ill replaced, until then were 11,583 copies produced
