Parsec is Cardas at the value end of its serious ranges, using the classic Golden Ratio conductor scaling, and it suits a good mid priced system where the cable budget must stay sensible. What it does This cable connects amplifier to loudspeaker. Parsec uses four conductors of 15.5 AWG Grade 1 copper, 99.9999% pure and oxygen free, each strand individually coated in Litz fashion. The gauge sizes within each conductor are scaled to Golden Ratio proportions, the principle Cardas has used for decades, so no two strand diameters share a simple whole number relationship. The four conductors sit in Star Quad formation around a nylon air tube core, with PTFE air tubes and anti static fibres, jacketed in PTFE and a flexible TPR outer. How it sounds and where it fits We will not tell you a cable rewrites what a system does, because at this price the honest position is that construction quality, connection security and correct length matter more than any claim about tone. Where Parsec is useful is value. It sits one step below Clear Sky and suits systems in roughly the €2,000 to €6,000 bracket, where a Clear family cable would be out of proportion. The TPR outer jacket is supple, which helps if the cable has to turn a tight corner behind a speaker.
