Universal input voltage: 100 to 240 V AC The Aavik I-580 is a reference quality pure analogue integrated amplifier designed and manufactured in Denmark. Delivering 300 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 600 watts per channel into 4 ohms, the I-580 combines substantial power reserves with speed, control and a highly natural musical presentation. The I-580 concentrates entirely on analogue preamplification and power amplification. It does not include an internal DAC or phono stage, allowing its power supply and internal circuitry to focus completely on amplification performance. Five stereo RCA line inputs are provided. Input gain can be adjusted individually, allowing different source components to be matched more closely in level. Inputs one to four offer adjustable gain from 5 to 15 dB and accept a maximum input level of 4.5 V RMS. Input five offers adjustable gain from 1 to 11 dB and accepts a maximum input level of 6.5 V RMS. The integrated preamplifier section includes a stereo RCA preamplifier output, allowing connection to a subwoofer, an additional power amplifier or another compatible component. The I-580 incorporates Aavik’s extensive noise reduction technologies, including 108 Active Tesla Coils, 240 Active Square Tesla Coils, 11 dither circuits and four Anti Aerial Resonance Coils. The Active Tesla Coils are designed to reduce unwanted electrical noise, while the Active Square Tesla Coils are integrated directly into the circuit boards to operate closer to the signal paths. The analogue dither circuits are designed to reduce the perceived noise floor and preserve low level musical information. The Anti Aerial Resonance Coils help reduce unwanted high frequency noise associated with internal conductors. The I-580 also benefits from a solid copper inner chassis. The copper construction helps reduce magnetic hysteresis and provides additional shielding around the sensitive internal circuitry. Its distinctive titanium top cross and titanium corner elements assist with mechanical resonance control. The main enclosure uses a low resonance composite material rather than a conventional heavy aluminium cabinet. The amplifier features a large red front display, intuitive multifunction controls and compatibility with an Apple remote control. Additional functions include adjustable input gain, balance adjustment, home theatre bypass, display brightness control, two trigger outputs and an RS-232 connection for service and firmware updates.
