It is the first Hana with a diamond cantilever, the hardest material available and ideal for transferring energy from the groove.The newly developed OKD high efficiency generator pairs an integrated pole piece and rear yoke with an inverted U shaped front yoke, a world first arrangement that controls resonance, aligns the magnetic field and precisely supports the diamond cantilever. A high power neodymium magnet and a hybrid carbon armature wound with 30 micron high purity copper wire complete the motor, giving 0.3mV output at just 5 ohms.The body is finished in exquisite Urushi lacquer, bonded to the aluminium structure through a specialised thermosetting process.
