F2 The Samsung Slim Zoom 115S is a stylish and very interesting 35mm autofocus compact film camera from a period when Samsung and Rollei had a close partnership. For those who may not know, during that era Samsung and Rollei produced cameras with the same basic technology and design, but sold them under different brand names for different markets. Samsung was very active in Asian markets, including Taiwan, while Rollei was the more established and respected name in Europe. Because of this, many cameras from that time were essentially the same camera family, just marketed under Samsung in one region and under Rollei in another. This makes the Samsung Slim Zoom 115S especially interesting, as it represents that Samsung–Rollei partnership period, where both brands offered cameras packed with the same technology and very similar lens quality. Rollei of that era also carried the prestige of its European identity and its connection with the famous German optics company Schneider Kreuznach, which helps make the connection even more appealing for collectors and film camera enthusiasts.
