The practical result is that the speaker sounds the same across a wide listening area and is far less fussy about exact seating position. The FyneFlute surround damps the edge of the cone progressively rather than abruptly, which cleans up the transition out of the midband and improves transient definition.At this size and sensitivity it will fill a large room from a comparatively modest amplifier, and it responds clearly to better source and amplification rather than simply playing louder.
