Model Number: SCPH-1002
Why is it rare?
This PlayStation 1 (specifically the launch series: SCPH-1000, SCPH-1001, or SCPH-1002) is sought after by retro gaming collectors and audiophiles for several distinct design features that were removed in later hardware revisions.
Why it’s special:
Sony only included built-in standard RCA outputs in the earliest production runs. In all later revisions (starting with the SCPH-550x series), Sony removed these ports to save manufacturing costs, requiring users to rely solely on the proprietary AV MULTI OUT port.
High-end audio enthusiasts discovered that plugging standard RCA stereo cables directly from this PS1 into an amplifier produced warm, accurate, and dynamic sound, rivaling standalone CD players costing thousands of dollars.
You get: a controller, AV wire, Plug, console, Syndicate game and 3rd party memory card.
Console works perfectly. Does have marks around console, which I have taken images off. Has anti bac cleaned!
Controller: The buttons are pressed in quite a lot. It has been cleaned, but still not in best condition. I put new rumble sticks on, but I also put the old ones on, just in case you may not like the new ones.
Collection is: Alpha Mega Kiti 7550.
