The Canon PowerShot A510 is a distinctive mid-2000s digital camera that has recently gained renewed popularity thanks to the Gen-Z Y2K digicam trend and the growing appreciation for the unique look of early digital photography.
Released in 2005, the A510 offers a charming combination of classic CCD image rendering, compact design and surprisingly advanced photographic controls. Its 3.2-megapixel CCD sensor produces images with a characteristic early-digital colour rendition and a natural lo-fi aesthetic that many photography enthusiasts are rediscovering today.
One of its most interesting features is its full manual shooting capability, including Program, Aperture Priority (Av), Shutter Priority (Tv) and Manual (M) modes. This makes it much more than a simple point-and-shoot camera, offering plenty of creative freedom and an excellent opportunity to experiment with exposure settings.
Condition & Functionality
The camera is in good overall condition, with some normal cosmetic imperfections consistent with its age and previous use.
Please note the following details regarding its appearance:
LCD Screen: Upon close inspection, the screen has some fine surface scratches. There is also a small amount of internal dust visible when the screen is switched off and examined closely. This is simply dust inside the camera body, not screen damage. During operation, the live-view display appears perfectly fine, and this does not affect screen visibility or normal use.
Optical Viewfinder: There is also a small amount of dust inside the viewfinder, which does not affect viewing or normal operation.
Body: Some minor signs of normal use, as expected from a camera of this age.
The camera has been fully tested and is in great working condition. All functions operate as they should.
Included Accessories
Canon PowerShot A510 digital camera
4GB SD memory card, providing plenty of space for your photographs.
Power Requirements: The camera operates using 2 × AA batteries, which are NOT included.
A lovely opportunity to own a distinctive piece of early digital photography history, combining the nostalgic CCD look with genuine manual photographic controls.
