Citroën C4 Grand Picasso (7 seats/2007) — Engine Restoration Project

Selling my personal car as I have already purchased a new one. The car is currently not running (requires a major engine overhaul). It is located at a service center in Paralimni.

This is a very spacious and comfortable 7-seater MPV, perfectly suited for both city driving (automatic gearbox + parking sensors) and long-distance travel (equipped with cruise control and comfortable armrests for the driver and passenger). The car is extremely fuel-efficient, with an average consumption of only 6.5 – 6.8 l/100 km.

Technical Condition:

Engine: Non-functional. A detailed cost estimate from the mechanic for a full restoration is available.

Working Components: The gearbox, air conditioning, battery, and all electronics are in normal working condition.

Documents: MOT (roadworthiness test) was recently passed.

Taxes: Low Road Tax — only €75 per year.

Engine Restoration Plan (Recondition):

There is a mechanic-confirmed list of works required to bring the car back to normal working order:

Head Replacement: Installation of a new cylinder head.

Mechanical Work: Engine removal, block surface grinding/polishing, and full rebuild.

Timing Belt: Installation of a new timing belt kit and tensioners.

Gaskets and Seals: New head gasket, valve cover gasket, and all necessary seals.

Service: Fresh engine oil, coolant, and all filters.

Exhaust System: Industrial chemical cleaning of the DPF (Particulate Filter) and catalytic converter using specialized equipment.

Total estimated cost of repairs: €2,450 + VAT (€2,300 for the engine and €150 for DPF cleaning).

After the engine restoration, you will receive a reliable family car with a fresh engine and no driving concerns for years to come. We bought a new car, which is why we decided not to proceed with the repairs ourselves.

Please note: buying a similar car with high mileage for €3,000–3,500 in "running" condition often carries the risk of sudden engine failure and expensive repairs. By choosing this option, you get the car at a reduced price with a budget set aside for a high-quality engine rebuild "for yourself."
