Job DescriptionWe are seeking a pragmatic Head of Legal & Compliance to lead the legal and regulatory function of our international brokerage. The role oversees legal and compliance matters across the business, ensuring that partnerships, commercial activities, and internal processes remain legally sound and compliant. You will work closely with the CEO and departments such as Payments, Finance, Business Development, and Marketing, providing legal guidance, assessing regulatory risks, and supporting growth across multiple jurisdictions. This role offers the opportunity to build and lead the Legal & Compliance function as the company scales.ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee all legal and compliance matters across the company, ensuring legally sound and compliant business operations.Provide legal and regulatory guidance to senior management on business decisions, partnerships, and operational risks.Oversee drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements with PSPs, banks, liquidity providers, and other partners.Maintain key legal documentation: Terms & Conditions, partner agreements, internal policies.Assess regulatory implications of new products, marketing initiatives, and partnership models across jurisdictions.Support relationships with banks, PSPs, and financial partners from legal and compliance perspective, including due diligence and contract negotiations.Coordinate external law firms and legal advisors across jurisdictions.Build and structure the internal Legal & Compliance function: processes, documentation standards, team structure.Hire and develop the Legal & Compliance team as the company scales.RequirementsRussian speaking, English for daily business communication.Law degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s).5+ years in legal or compliance roles within CFD brokerage.Strong understanding of commercial agreements, corporate structuring, and regulatory frameworks, experience with PSPs, banks, and financial institutions.Ability to assess legal and regulatory risks and provide pragmatic business solutions.Experience working with regulators, external law firms, and commercial partners.Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to work independently and own the legal & compliance function.BenefitsCompetitive and attractive compensationHybrid work scheduleWorking permit for non-EUProper rest time of 24 annual leave daysChallenging and unique tasks in the FinTech fieldFunding for gym memberships, fostering a healthy work-life balanceInterview StagesHR Interview (60 minutes)Interview with Hiring Manager (90 minutes)Final Interview (optional)About Versus TradeVersus Trade is a CFD trading company of like-minded people who are seeking to change the way the world trades.
