Manager assistant- accounting & administration
We are looking for a reliable, well-organised and hands-on Executive Assistant to support the Manager directly with day-to-day business activities. This is a varied role combining bookkeeping and Administrative responsibilities with direct support to the Manager. The ideal candidate should have practical accounting experience and be able to independently handle bookkeeping, tax filings and financial administration, while also assisting with other business and operational matters as required. Key Responsibilities • Handling day-to-day bookkeeping and maintaining accounting records • Preparing and submitting VAT and VIES returns • Handling PAYE, payroll and Social Insurance-related matters • Managing invoices, payments, expenses, accounts payable and accounts receivable • Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records • Assisting with accounting and reporting for EU and cross-border transactions • Preparing documents and supporting materials for accountants, auditors and tax advisors • Following up on accounting, tax, banking and payment-related matters • Assisting the Manager with day-to-day business, operational and administrative matters • Preparing documents, correspondence and reports as required • Communicating and following up with external accountants, advisors, suppliers, customers and other business contacts on behalf of the Manager • Completing other duties and tasks assigned by the Manager Requirements • Minimum 2 years of practical bookkeeping or accounting experience • Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and basic accounting principles • Practical experience handling VAT and VIES returns in Cyprus • Familiarity with PAYE, payroll and Social Insurance procedures • Excellent written and spoken English and Greek • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Responsible, reliable and comfortable working directly with management • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software • Must have the legal right to work in Cyprus Experience with EU or cross-border transactions will be considered an advantage. This position is suitable for someone with a solid accounting background who is also willing to take on a varied role and assist with different business matters as required.
