A private school is seeking an experienced and motivated Secondary Science Teacher (Biology/Chemistry/Physics) to join our international school in Cyprus, starting September 2026.

We seek an inspiring Science educator who creates an engaging, student-centred classroom that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and independent learning. The successful candidate will foster a respectful, inclusive environment, applying strong classroom management and positive behaviour strategies aligned with school policy. They will design and deliver investigative, hands-on lessons that emphasise experimentation, problem-solving, and real-world application. The role requires the effective use of project-based learning, collaboration, and student-led inquiry, alongside practical lab work and scientific methodology. The teacher should demonstrate adaptive teaching by differentiating for varying abilities and English proficiency, using a range of strategies such as experiments, simulations, discussions, and data analysis to support all learners, including multilingual students.

Strong knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level curricula is essential, with the ability to prepare students effectively through targeted feedback, exam strategies, and consistent progress tracking to ensure high academic outcomes. Requirements:

- Degree in Science or a related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or equivalent)

- Recognised teaching qualification

Eligibility or willingness to obtain a Cyprus work permit./Kysats qualification accreditation

- Proven school teaching experience/ teaching Cambridge IGCSE and/or A Level Science (essential)

- Strong understanding of exam preparation strategies
