Kindergarten teacher

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support a 7-year-old child with special needs (semi-verbal), currently in kindergarten and preparing to transition to school in September 2026. Role Overview This is a position (07:30 – 14:00 + 1 hour - preparation of materials and reports), based in Limassol, Cyprus. The LSA will play a key role in supporting the child’s academic, social, and daily school routine. Key Responsibilities * Provide in-class support to the child during lessons * Assist with learning tasks, focus, and engagement * Support adaptation to the school environment and daily schedule * Accompany and supervise the child during breaks, lunch, and outdoor activities * Ensure the child’s well-being and safety throughout the school day * Assist the student with arrival and departure from school (driving licence is a plus) * Work closely with teachers, SEN department, and external specialists * Provide regular feedback and reports to parents * Support at home during sick days (same working hours) or school breaks * Maintain strict confidentiality and sign an NDA Candidate Profile * Legal working permit in Cyprus * Experience as an LSA, SEN teacher, therapist(OT, SLP) or working with children with special needs * Hands-on experience working with children with ASD or similar developmental profiles would be an advantage * Willingness to work within structured behavioural or developmental support frameworks (ABA experience is a plus) * Understanding of additional needs and child development * Proactive, energetic, positive, and responsible personality * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Ability to follow structure while remaining flexible and proactive in approach * The candidate must have excellent command of English * A degree in Primary Education or SEND is a strong advantage * Police background check and medical clearance * Non-smoker * Long-term commitment Required What We Offer * Competitive salary above market level * Performance-based bonuses * paid 21 days of annual leave and paid Public Holidays * Official employment with a full contract and social insurance, benefits, annual bonus based on the results of the year of work * Supportive and collaborative working environment Salary: from €3000 gross(2500 Net) per month (for an exceptional SEN teacher-level candidate, salary can be discussed individually) Additional opportunity: For interested candidates, there may also be an option to add after-school support at home, with an appropriate lunch break and a corresponding increase in salary.
