Job Overview

​We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and professional Part-Time Learning Support Assistant (Shadow Teacher) to support our 5-year-old son within his English-speaking classroom environment. Our son is currently pre-verbal but making steady, positive progress with his speech and communication.

​The ideal candidate will provide part-time, individualized attention and encouragement within the school day to help him thrive socially and academically.

​

Key Responsibilities

​Provide dedicated, part-time 1-on-1 support within the classroom to help the student engage with daily school activities and curriculum.

​

Implement positive reinforcement strategies to encourage communication, speech development, and social interaction.

​

Collaborate closely with the classroom teacher and parents to ensure consistency in the student's learning and development.

​

Help navigate social interactions with peers, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

​

Requirements & Qualifications

​Experience: Proven experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teacher, Teacher’s Assistant, or Home Educator is required. Experience with early childhood development or speech delays is highly advantageous.

​

Language: Native or fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills.

​

Flexibility: Ability to adapt to a flexible part-time schedule based on the school's and student's needs.

​

Background Check: A clean, valid Police Clearance Certificate (Clean Criminal Record) is mandatory.

​
