Caregiver Required for Elderly Gentleman – Age 88
We are looking for a kind, patient and experienced caregiver to support an 88-year-old gentleman who is blind and living with dementia.
The caregiver will share shifts with another caregiver, so we are looking for someone reliable and flexible who is comfortable working as part of a small care team and ensuring good continuity of care.
The role will include:
- Assisting with personal care and daily routines
- Supporting mobility and general comfort
- Preparing or assisting with meals
- Medication reminders
- Providing companionship, reassurance and supervision
- Communicating clearly with the other caregiver and family
The ideal person should:
- Have experience caring for elderly people, preferably with dementia experience
- Be calm, patient, compassionate and trustworthy
- Be reliable and responsible
- Be comfortable working on a shared-shift basis
- Have previous caregiving references where possible
We are looking for someone who will treat him with dignity, kindness and patience and become a trusted part of his daily routine.
