Location: Nicosia An established Audit & Accounting Firm based in Nicosia is seeking to recruit an Experienced / Senior Auditor on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be an experienced audit professional capable of handling audit engagements with a high degree of independence, preparing financial statements and tax computations, and ensuring that assignments are completed in accordance with applicable professional standards and Cyprus legislation. Key Responsibilities - Planning, execution and completion of audit engagements for local and international clients. - Performing audit work in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs). - Preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). - Preparation and maintenance of audit working papers and supporting documentation. - Identification and assessment of audit risks and resolution of audit issues arising during engagements. - Preparation and/or review of corporate income tax computations and relevant tax returns. - Liaising directly with clients and obtaining all necessary accounting records and supporting documentation. - Ensuring compliance with applicable Cyprus Companies Law, tax and VAT legislation and other relevant regulatory requirements. - Ensuring that audit assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines. - Providing guidance and assistance to junior members of the audit/accounting team, where required. - Keeping up to date with developments in IFRS, ISAs, Cyprus taxation and relevant legislation.
