The Island Private School of Limassol is looking for a vigilant, welcoming, and reliable School Gatekeeper to join our progressive, fast-growing international community.

As the first point of contact for our groundbreaking 50,000 m² mega-campus, you will be the vital link between campus security and a warm, community-first welcome. Department: Campus Security / Facilities Management

Employment Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 14:00 – 18:00 (with flexibility for occasional weekend school events)

Reports to: Facilities Manager / Head of Administration

Your Mission on Campus

Entry Control & First-Class Greeting

Gate Operations: Master the opening and secure locking of main school gates at precise daily times.

Visitor Verification: Welcome guests with a polite yet firm attitude, verify identities, check purposes, and issue security passes.

Log Maintenance: Accurately maintain our visitor ecosystem using digital and physical logs for all entrants and vehicles.

Vigilant Supervision & Student Safeguarding

Perimeter Patrols: Conduct routine foot patrols along perimeter fencing to keep our campus tightly secured.

Peak Hour Coordination: Actively monitor entry points and supervise the main gates during busy afternoon pick-up hours.

Child Safety: Act as a critical line of defense, ensuring no student leaves the premises without authorized parental consent or a valid exit pass.

Emergency Response & Safety Leadership

Incident Reporting: Stay sharp and immediately report suspicious activity or safety hazards to management.

Crisis Support: Guide emergency service vehicles smoothly onto campus and secure vital exit routes during safety drills.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: Prior experience as a gatekeeper, security guard, or concierge—ideally within a school environment—is a major bonus!

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Languages: Professional fluency in English is essential. The ability to speak Greek or Russian is highly advantageous for connecting with our diverse parent community.

Skills: High situational awareness, basic tech literacy (for digital logs and radio/walkie-talkie communication), and excellent interpersonal skills.

Stamina: Comfort working primarily outdoors at the gatehouse through both the radiant Cyprus summer heat and winter weather.
