Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and professional Part-Time Learning Support Assistant (Shadow Teacher) to support our 5-year-old son within his English-speaking classroom environment. Our son is currently pre-verbal but making steady, positive progress with his speech and communication.

The ideal candidate will provide part-time, individualized attention and encouragement within the school day to help him thrive socially and academically.

Key Responsibilities

Provide dedicated, part-time 1-on-1 support within the classroom to help the student engage with daily school activities and curriculum.

Implement positive reinforcement strategies to encourage communication, speech development, and social interaction.

Collaborate closely with the classroom teacher and parents to ensure consistency in the student's learning and development.

Help navigate social interactions with peers, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teacher, Teacher’s Assistant, or Home Educator is required. Experience with early childhood development or speech delays is highly advantageous.

Language: Native or fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills.

Flexibility: Ability to adapt to a flexible part-time schedule based on the school's and student's needs.

Background Check: A clean, valid Police Clearance Certificate (Clean Criminal Record) is mandatory.
